About these terms
These terms apply to your use of sydneytreesolutions.com.au, operated as Tree Loppers Sydney. By using the site or sending an enquiry you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use the site.
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot lawfully be excluded.
What this site is
This is a referral website. We do not carry out tree work. When you make an enquiry, your details are passed to an independent tree contractor operating in your area, who then deals with you directly.
That contractor is not our employee, partner or agent. They quote on their own terms, they hold their own licences and insurance, and the contract for any work is between you and them.
What we do not verify
We do not verify a contractor's licensing, insurance, qualifications or certification on your behalf, and you should not treat their appearance on this site as evidence of any of those things.
Before work starts, ask any contractor directly for:
- Evidence of current public liability insurance.
- The qualifications of the person who will run the saw.
- Written confirmation of what the quote includes, particularly green waste removal, trunk wood and the stump.
That is ordinary prudence when engaging any trade, and it matters more in this one because the work is hazardous and the equipment is heavy.
Quotes and pricing
Any figures published on this site, including on the cost guide and in the blog articles, are indicative ranges for general guidance. They are not offers, quotes or estimates for your job. A price for your work comes from the contractor after they have assessed the site.
Quotes and inspections are generally free and carry no obligation, but that is a matter between you and the contractor. A written arboricultural report for a council application is separate paid consulting work.
Council approvals
Information on this site about tree preservation orders, the 10/50 vegetation clearing entitlement, powerline clearance and related matters is general information, not legal or planning advice. Rules differ between councils and change over time.
You are responsible for obtaining any approval required before tree work is carried out on your property. Do not rely on this site, or on a contractor's opinion, in place of confirming the position with your council or a qualified consulting arborist.
Your obligations when making an enquiry
When you send an enquiry you agree that the information you give is accurate, that you have the authority to arrange work at the property, and that you will disclose known hazards — services, pools, structures, access limitations and anything else a crew needs to know to work safely.
If the property is under strata title, the owners corporation, not an individual lot owner or tenant, authorises work on common property.
Intellectual property
The text, layout and images on this site are owned by us or used with permission. You may read, print and share pages for your own non-commercial use. You may not reproduce substantial parts of the site for commercial purposes without written permission.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for loss or damage arising from:
- Use of, or reliance on, general information published on this site.
- The acts, omissions, workmanship, pricing or conduct of any independent contractor.
- Work carried out without required council approval.
- Interruption or unavailability of the site.
Where liability cannot lawfully be excluded, it is limited to resupplying the relevant service or paying the cost of having it resupplied, at our option.
Nothing here limits a contractor's own obligations to you under the Australian Consumer Law, including guarantees of due care and skill.
Emergencies and powerlines
Information on this site is not an emergency service. If a tree has failed onto a structure, ring the contractor directly. If a tree is on or near a powerline, contact Ausgrid before anyone else — no tree contractor may lawfully work on a live conductor.

Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of New South Wales, and you submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of its courts.
Changes
We may update these terms. The version published here at the time you use the site is the version that applies.
